Terms, privacy & cookies

1. Who we are
Beadalia ("the app", "we") is a web app for Miyuki Delica bead lovers, available at beadalia.com. Operator: COLORHUB SRL, VAT no. RO52225855, Trade Registry no. J2025055824007, registered office: Str. Prahova 17, room 5, Pantelimon, Ilfov county, Romania. Contact: hello@beadalia.com.
2. Terms of use
The app is provided "as is", free in its basic form, for personal and commercial use (the patterns you create are entirely yours). We do not guarantee the app is free of errors or interruptions. Displayed estimates (bead, thread and needle requirements, durability) are indicative — double-check them before important projects or orders.
The app's code, design and content belong to us; details are in section 2a. What you create in the app — patterns, palettes, inventory — is exclusively yours.
We may change or discontinue features; existing free features will not become paid. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law; we are not liable for indirect losses (for example losing locally saved data when clearing browser history — use project export for backups).
2a. Intellectual property & prohibited uses
Beadalia — the code, design, interface, texts, illustrations, brand, and the bead catalogue (its selection, structure and contents, including colours, names and associated data) — belongs to COLORHUB SRL. The catalogue is additionally protected as a database, under the database maker's sui generis right (Directive 96/9/EC and Romanian Law 8/1996), independently of copyright in the app. What you create stays yours: your patterns, palettes and inventory are entirely yours, you may use them commercially, and nothing in this section affects them.
To be precise about the bead data: the colour values, codes and names originate with the manufacturers — Miyuki, Toho, Preciosa and Artkal — and we claim no ownership of that underlying data. What is ours is the compilation of it: the selection and verification of the entries, their structure, the corrections and normalisation we apply, the classification we derive (glass group, finish, durability) and the correspondences we establish between catalogues. That compilation is a database created by Beadalia and protected as such; reproducing it in whole or in substantial part is not permitted.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Your account is individual — do not share it and do not resell access to it.
Without our written permission, you may not:
- copy, reproduce or redistribute the app's code, design, texts or interface, in whole or in part;
- extract or re-use a substantial part of the bead catalogue — manually or automatically (scraping, bots, bulk downloading) — nor repeatedly and systematically extract insubstantial parts;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, beyond what the law mandatorily permits you (for example for interoperability purposes);
- build a competing or derivative service from the app or its data;
- circumvent plan limits, technical restrictions or security measures, or remove proprietary notices;
- use the app or its content to train artificial-intelligence models.
The licence terminates automatically if you breach this section, as well as upon a refund or a payment dispute (chargeback) — money back means access back. In those situations, and in cases of fraud or abuse, we may suspend or close the account. You do keep the right to your data: write to hello@beadalia.com and we will export it for you.
So that we can prove the origin of our content, the catalogue and the app's data contain discreet provenance markers unique to Beadalia. They do not affect your use of the app in any way, but their presence in another product indicates copying. We also keep short-lived technical logs for abuse detection — legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Privacy (GDPR)
In short: we do not collect personal data. Everything you create — patterns, palettes, inventory, language preference — is saved exclusively locally, in your browser. It never reaches our servers; we cannot see it and we do not sell it.
We do not require an account, email or any other data to use the app. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes, like any web server, minimal technical data (IP address, browser type) in short-lived security logs — legal basis: legitimate interest in operating the service securely (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you write to hello@beadalia.com, we use your address only to reply. You have all GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, complaint to your supervisory authority); for locally saved data you don't need us at all — delete it directly from your browser.
If we introduce online accounts or payments, this policy will be updated beforehand and processors (for example Stripe for payments) will be explicitly listed here.
4. Cookies & local storage
Beadalia uses strictly necessary local storage for the app to work: your designs, palette, inventory, tracking progress and chosen language, saved exclusively in your browser (localStorage). This is exempt from consent under the ePrivacy Directive — you can delete it any time from your browser settings or with the "Clear" buttons in the app. It does not require your consent.
Separately, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, an aggregate and anonymous statistics tool (visit counts, popular pages, country, browser type). It uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, does not track individual visitors and does not build profiles — it is therefore exempt from consent under the ePrivacy Directive and does not depend on the cookie banner. The data is processed in aggregate by Cloudflare, Inc. — legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding site traffic (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
In addition, only with your explicit consent, we use Microsoft Clarity, a usage-analytics tool (heatmaps, anonymized session recordings) that helps us understand how the site is used and what we can improve. It only activates if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner.
Cookies set by Clarity, when active: _clck (anonymous identifier, kept ~1 year) and _clsk (links activity within the same session, ~1 day). This data is processed by Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. as a processor on our behalf; it may be transferred outside the European Economic Area under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
To understand which ads lead to a subscription purchase, we use Google Ads through Google Tag Manager only if you separately select advertising measurement in the banner and save your choice. This optional choice is separate from Clarity consent; previous analytics consent does not enable it. Our configuration does not enable personalized advertising.
After this consent, Google may use advertising-attribution cookies, for example the _gcl_* family, and local storage to connect an ad click with a conversion. For a subscription payment confirmed by Stripe, we send Google the purchase value, currency and a unique pseudonymous purchase identifier, together with available click-attribution information. You can turn advertising measurement off in “Cookie settings”; this stops future Google loads and events in this browser, without undoing data already sent. Existing cookies can be deleted in your browser settings. Details: how Google uses information from partner sites.
You can withdraw your consent at any time from "Cookie settings" (link in the page footer) — declining or withdrawing consent does not affect the site or the app in any way.
4a. Paid services, refunds & right of withdrawal
The section below applies to the paid service, which is the Beadalia Pro subscription.
Payments are processed by Stripe; card details are entered exclusively on Stripe's pages and never reach us. An invoice is issued for every payment. Displayed prices are final for consumers.
Right of withdrawal (EU consumers): you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw without reason, with a full refund. For digital content and services with immediate performance, upon activating access you give your express consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once paid features are accessed — you will see and tick this consent at checkout. Independently of this right, if something doesn't work as promised, write to hello@beadalia.com and we'll fix it or refund you.
5. Trademarks
MIYUKI and Delica are registered trademarks of MIYUKI Co., Ltd. (Japan). Beadalia is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by MIYUKI. The names are used solely to describe compatibility with those beads. Durability data comes from Miyuki's public materials, for information purposes.
6. Consumers (RO / EU)
For paid services: Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection — anpc.ro · Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) — anpc.ro/ce-este-sal · EU Online Dispute Resolution platform — ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law; for EU consumers the mandatory protections of your country of residence also apply. Disputes are resolved amicably or by the competent courts.
